On February 20, the Donetsk press center hosted a press conference on the results of a visit to the People's Republic of Donetsk (DNR) by delegations from Russia, Germany and Norway. The conference was attended by: Minister of Foreign Affairs of DNR Natalya Nikonorova; Chairman of the Left Party faction (Die Linke) in the Osnabrück region, Andreas Maurer, Head of the People's Diplomacy Project of Germany; head of the charitable foundation "Solidarity. Good. Mercy» Vladimir Sych; representative of the nongovernmental organization "People's diplomacy" in Norway Hendrik Weber; coordinator of the "People's Diplomacy" in Russia Artem Aksyonenko.
Hendrik Weber: "We saw a town in which all the houses had the windows boarded up, but people continue living there. We had the opportunity to talk with these people and see how they live. We were given such an opportunity and we were shown everything we wanted. Everything there is so terrible that it makes me want to cry.
On the other hand, I saw a real, rapidly developing state with its public system and infrastructure. I saw that the streets of the cities were cleaned, roads were repaired, snow machines were working... There can be no question that separatists and terrorists live here. Here live just ordinary people, with whom you can establish a dialogue, whom you need to listen to.
A dialogue is the solution that is necessary here, so that, finally, the European rulers opened their eyes on what is happening here and stopped supporting Kiev."
